MICHAEL JACKSON SELLS NEVERLAND? (Michael Jackson) Michael Jackson is reportedly selling his luxurious Neverland ranch to pay off his huge debts.
The eccentric star is allegedly putting the plush California home - which has a zoo and a theme park - up for sale for $40 million because he owes $265 million in loans.
Sources say the singer, who was cleared of child sex abuse charges following a lengthy trial earlier this year, is in such financial strife he has been paying staff late - and some have even quit.
An employee is quoted on America's Foxnews.com as saying: "Everyone is p****d. It was one thing when it happened during the trial but now it is a different story."
Earlier this month, it was revealed Jackson - who has been staying in Bahrain since his court case - is quitting the US for good.
The star - who was recently summoned for jury service - was rumored to be turning his back on the States after the way he was treated by the authorities and media during his trial.
A court spokesman, whose staff had to contact the singer's legal team regarding the summons, claims he was told Jackson is changing his address to somewhere outside the US.
He told America's New York Post: "Our jury services supervisor spoke with Jackson's attorney a couple of days ago and he notified her that Mr. Jackson was in Bahrain and that he would be changing his permanent address to somewhere other than the ranch." (Michael Jackson [10/28/2005])
