Paris Hilton has reportedly been banned from a swanky nightclub for badmouthing her former best friend, Nicole Richie.

The blonde heiress was told to leave top Los Angeles nightspot LAX after spending the evening gossiping about Nicole - who dated the DJ at the club - with her sister Nicky, according to insiders.

A source told America's In Touch Weekly magazine: "No one will admit it but Paris is now banned from LAX."

Earlier this month Paris reportedly extended an olive branch to Nicole - by announcing on stage at a star-studded Christmas party she wanted to be pals again after their year-long feud.

The stunning blonde says she sympathizes with Nicole following her split from fiance Adam Goldstein - and wants to patch up their troubled relationship.

Paris - who recently split from fiance Paris Latsis - reportedly said: "I'm really sorry to hear about Nic's engagement. I went through the same thing."

"With Christmas coming up, I realize I really miss her and want to get in touch again."

The friends mysteriously fell out in January, with hotel heiress Paris later declaring: "It's no big secret that Nicole and I are no longer friends. I will not go into the details of what happened. All I will say is that Nicole knows what she did and that's all I am ever going to say about it."

It was rumored Richie, daughter of soul star Lionel Richie, had infuriated her pal by showing her infamous sex tape, "One Night In Paris," to friends at a party.
