George Clooney wants to become a father in the New Year - to sextuplets.

The single actor - who recently revealed he is too selfish to become a dad - thinks he will start to get broody in his 44th year.

He said: "I want to be married with six kids by next year. I want six little sextuplets around but I don't really make New Year's resolutions.

He added to Britain's OK magazine: "I have a pretty good life and I enjoy the things I've been able to do. There's a period of time that you get to try and do things and I'm having a fun time with that right now, but I've made some and I'll come up with something really good by December 27th."
