| The "Dirrty" singer is ready to embark on a Hollywood career and is currently reading scripts to find the perfect role.
Speaking at a press conference in Shanghai ahead of her first concert in China tonight (06.26.07), Christina said: "I am looking forward to moving into another creative outlet and that outlet is acting."
"It is something that, when I attempt to do it, I want to do it right so it's important for me that I do choose the right first role for myself."
However, the 26-year-old star doesn't want to give up singing for good, and is already coming up with song ideas for her next album.
Christina has promised her fans it will be a complete overhaul from the sound of her most recent LP "Back to Basics," which was heavily influenced by jazz.
She said: "It will be completely different. We're going to keep it short and sweet this time."
Last year, Christina was rumored to be in line to play 50s pin-up Jeanne Carmen - who was known as the "queen of the B-movies" - in a biopic of her life.
However, the proposed role never materialized. (Christina Aguilera [06/26/2007])
