Garbage Singer Lands Role on “Sarah Connor Chronicles” ( Garbage) Shirley Manson will have a recurring role on the show.
Shirley Manson, the lead singer of Garbage, has gotten the acting bug, and even though she will release her debut solo album this year, she will also appear in a television series.
Her first major role will be a recurring appearance on Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, which will air its second season this fall on Fox.
Manson will play Catherine Weaver, who is referred to by the Hollywood Reporter as the “CEO of Cyberdyne, a cutting edge hi-tech company” in the show, which stems from the original Terminator films, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Manson’s solo album is still untitled, but will be released later this year. Details about the tracks were leaked online, including a possible (but still unconfirmed) title for the album.
Manson worked with Beck, The White Stripes’ Jack White, Smashing Pumpkins’ Billy Corgan and The Blue Nile’s Paul Buchanan on different songs.
