Biography of Jim Lampley

Jim Lampley has spent twenty-five years as a network television sportscaster and built a vast array of credits in television, radio, movies and the Internet.He first appeared on national television in 1974 as the "college age reporter" for ABC's college football coverage. Over the years, he has worked for most major networks, including ABC, NBC, CBS, HBO, Turner Sports and reported on every major sport from football and baseball to boxing and tennis. Recently, Jim has been best known for his work on HBO and TVKO Boxing telecasts for Time Warner. In twelve-plus years, he has called more than three hundred championship fights. In addition to his two Emmy awards for Best Sports Journalism on "Realsports," Lampley also won a third Emmy for his writing.
