Josh Holloway was born in Northern California. At an very young age of two, his family moved to Blueridge Mountains of Georgia, where he was raised as the second eldest of four boys.

From an early age, Holloway discovered a passion for films. Growing up in a very small town, he was deeply intrigued by the different cultures, lifestyles, places, and people he saw in different films. Holloway developed a love for motion pictures.

After one year at the University of Georgia, he packed his bag and left for New York City on a Greyhound Bus. Holloway later pursued a modeling career which took him all over Europe and North America.

Holloway’s pursuit of acting took him to Los Angeles where he soon landed his first role in an indie comedy “Moving August” opposite Sarah Wynter and Eddie McClintock. He followed that up with lead roles in several other independent films.

Holloway guest starred on several TV Shows such as ‘ CSI’ and Navy ‘NCIS’ before finally landing a starring role in the ABC hit drama ‘Lost’ from ‘Alias’ creator JJ Abrams and co-creator Damon Lindeloff .

Audiences will soon see Holloway as he stars in an upcoming Goldcircle/Universal's supernatural thriller ‘Whisper’, premiering in Spring 2006.

An outdoorsman at heart, his hobbies includes fishing, sailing, camping, snow boarding, martial arts, motor cross, and guitar playing.

Holloway recently wed his longtime love, Yessica. He currently divides his time between Los Angeles and Hawaii, where ‘Lost’ is being filmed.
