Biography of Justine Fishmann/Justine Frischmann

Justine Frischmann (born 16th September 1969) is a British singer and guitarist best known as the lead singer of Britpop band Elastica. Frischmann originally played guitar for another Britpop band, Suede, but left the group in 1991 as she believed she did not have enough say in to the band's development. She then went on to form Elastica who emerged in 1993 with the single 'Stutter'.

The band was sued over copyright violation for their hit song 'Connection.' Courts determined that it was copied from Wire's 'Three Girl Rhumba.'
