Background:
American actress Kaley Cuoco first impressed TV viewers with her debut in the TV
film Quicksand: No Escape (1992), which brought a Young Artist nomination. She
received another Young Artist nomination for her performance as Maureen
McCormick in the made-for-TV biopic Growing Up Brady (2000). Kaley achieved even
more popularity with her turn as Bridget Hennessy, the youngest daughter of the
Hennessy clan, in the sitcom “8 Simple Rules... for Dating My Teenage Daughter”
(2004-2005). Recently, Cuoco was seen as the witch Billie Jenkins in the big hit
series “Charmed” (2005-2006). She will also appear in the upcoming big screen
untitled Shana Goldberg-Meehan/Sisters Project (2006), for director Andy
Ackerman.

Outside the spotlight, Cuoco, who was number 74 on FHM-US’s “100 Sexiest Women”
(2004), appears grounded and enjoys sports. Playing tennis since the age of 3,
she is now a member of Southern California Tennis Association and gives a
consistent performance on the regional amateur division team. She also takes
pleasure in horseback riding, hiking and running. As a humanitarian, Cuoco is
actively involved with charity work for the Elisabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS
Foundation and Animal Avengers.

Childhood and Family:
Kaley Christine Cuoco was born on November 30, 1985, in Camarillo, California,
to father Gary Cuoco (realtor) and mother Layne Cuoco (homemaker). Although
sometimes called Kaley Cuaco, her last name Cuoco is actually the Italian word
for “cook.” Kaley lives with her parents and her only sister, Briana Cuoco, in
Ventura County, California, where she keeps a Chihuahua dachshund-mix dog named
Petey.
Due to her early career in modeling and acting, Kaley participated in a
home-school program. By the age of 16, she had already earned a High School
Diploma. A sport’s lover, she attends kickboxing class three times a week. In
her free time, the coffee-drinker enjoys hanging out with friends, going to the
mall and doing hip-hop dances.
Quicksand
Career:
Six-year old Cuoco took her first step toward show business as a model, where
she even worked in Barbie commercials. She later shifted to acting and made her
stage debut in the Los Angeles area productions of “Annie” and “Fiddler on the
Roof.”
In 1992, Cuoco made a remarkable small screen debut in the TV film Quicksand: No
Escape. Her fine supporting role of Connie Reinhardt in the Michael Pressman’s
thriller brought a Young Artist nomination for Best Young Actress in a Cable
Movie. Two years later, she followed it up with guest appearances in the TV
series “Northern Exposure” (as 7-year old Miranda) and “My So-Called Life”
(played young Angela). Young Cuoco had her first wide screen experience as Karin
in the star-studded sci-fi Virtuosity (1995), which starred Denzel Washington
and Russell Crowe. On TV, after appearing as little Ellen in an episode of
“Ellen” (1996), she landed the small part of Lori in the fantasy comedy
Toothless (1997) and took a supporting turn as the daughter of a novelist in Mr.
Murder (1998).
Impressed by Cuoco’s acting, director Richard A. Colla cast her in the role of
Maureen McCormick in the popular 70s series (The Brady Bunch) made-for-TV biopic
Growing Up Brady (2000). For her fine portrayal, she received a Young Artist
nomination for Best Young Actress in a Miniseries/Made-For-TV Film. Two years
later, following her appearance as Lynn in the high profile series “7th Heaven”
(2001), the young actress won a Teen Choice for Breakout Female Star.
Cuoco soared even higher when she took the role of Bridget Hennessy, the
youngest daughter of the Hennessy clan, in the sitcom “8 Simple Rules”
(2004-2005). Created by Tracy Gamble, the series also featured the late John
Ritter as the head of the family. She also costarred with Kevin Zegers and Nick
Carter in the big screen horror film The Hollow (2004). The actress then lent
her voice for Kristee in the animated movie Bratz (2005). The same year, she
re-voiced her character for the TV-series version of the film.
Still in 2005, creator Constance M. Burge cast her in the role of Billie
Jenkins, one of the witches in the worldwide series “Charmed” (2005-2006).
Cuoco’s fans should not miss her upcoming performance in an untitled Shana
Goldberg-Meehan/Sisters Project (2006). In the Andy Ackerman’s comedy, she will
play the role of Gabby.
