    Biography of Kyle Searles

  • There was something about Kyle from the moment of birth that made nurses and friends comment...Wow! He has dimples! Of course, a newborn baby could not purposely smile. But there they were, clear as day, two perfectly placed depressions on each side of his face. Kyle was born in Houston, Texas on June 24th, 1985 and then raised in the suburbs of Dallas. There, he pursued everything normal for a young boy; soccer, baseball, football, school, and of course, girls.

Always wanting to entertain and make people laugh, Kyle would often replay scenes of his favorite movies and characters. Some of the memorable ones were Ren and Stimpy, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Batman, Wayne's World, more TMN Turtles and of course his all time favorite...Ace Ventura, Pet Detective. He was always at his all time best just after seeing a movie. He and his family would have the best time riding home together replaying scenes and laughing hysterically. He definitely loved films and how they left a lasting impression on him.

A defining moment for Kyle was during his summer break between 8th and 9th grade, he decided to fully commit to acting. His mother helped organize his transition from amateur entertainer to professional actor. He met and signed with The Campbell agency in Dallas, in November 1999. Soon after signing, Kyle began his serious training at the Dallas Young Actors Studio. It took numerous auditions to finally book his first job. But he learned very early in his pursuit, that he would need lots of dedication and perseverance to survive in the world of show business. His commitment stood strong and he soon began to see his efforts take shape; he booked many more jobs in Dallas with his most notable booking for a teen reality show called, Moolah Beach in 2001.

The notoriety from that show was met somewhat with mixed emotions. He was excited to travel to Hawaii for the first time in his life and play this new reality game. He really had no idea the show would be such a hit and not just in the U.S. but all over the world! The part that was not easily accepted was the fact that this new found fame was as a result of his look and personality and not his actual acting abilities that he had worked so hard to develop. The exposure was really good and exciting, however for a serious actor, the association with a reality show, can be the kiss of death too.

Thankfully, this is not the case for Kyle; perhaps this can be attributed to his acting abilities or perhaps his look or like in most cases, just being in the right place at the right time. Whatever the reason, he managed to continue working, booking several more projects in Dallas before deciding to take his career to the next step…. the move to Los Angeles.

In June, 2002, Kyle was received warmly in LA, having been offered representation from several highly reputable talent agencies. After only two months in LA, Kyle had booked two national commercials, a guest star role on Nickelodeon's, All That, and a series regular role on a pilot presentation for the Noggin/MTV Network. Before long he learned his way around LA, made many new friends and now calls LA home. While Kyle continues to pursue acting opportunities, he also enjoys writing; everything from song lyrics to screenplays, playing guitar, playing volleyball at the beach, basketball and paintball.
