Biography of Liam Aiken

Born January 7th, 1990 in New York City, New York, it was apparent from the beginning that Liam was a natural actor. After securing a small part on Broadway in the award-winning production of Ibsen's "A Doll's House", Liam's big break came in 1997, when he played Ned in the movie Henry Fool (1997). From there he has created a snowball of films that has yet to stop rolling through Hollywood. With his eyes and facial moves, he has been compared to Jim Carrey, but when it comes to 'charactor', Liam is his own person, with his own unique style! Liam attends school, and when on the set - has a tutor that gives him his homework.

He co-starred in Columbia Pictures' hit "Stepmom," playing the son of Susan Sarandon and Ed Harris and Julia Roberts' stepson, a role for which he won a 1999 Young Artist Award Best Performance in a Feature Film - Young Actor Age Ten or Under. In 1998, he acted in "The Object Of My Affection," starring Jennifer Aniston & Paul Rudd as the latter's pupil; and as Parker Posey's son in "Henry Fool." He also appears in two films unveiled at the Sundance Film Festival, "I Remember" and "Montana." 

Additionally, he was Bobby Helmer in the multi-award-winning Broadway production of "A Doll's House." His television debut was in an episode of "Law & Order." 
Other film roles include "Abner" in the 2001 Warner Brothers feature "Sweet November," co-starring with Keanu Reeves and Charlize Theron.
He also played the son of Tom Hanks in The Road to Perdition, he plays Hank's yongest son. As well as a role in The Rising Place and was the main character in the family film, Good Boy!.

Liam's also plays "Klaus Baudelaire" in Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events when he and two siblings receive terrible news that their parents have died in a fire and have left them an enormous fortune not to be used until the eldest child is of age. When they are sent to live with Count Olaf, a greedy distant relative, they soon learn he is trying to steal their fortune for himself. 

Liam Aiken has been announced to play "Matt Cruse" in Airborn scheduled for release in 2006. Liam plays Matt Cruse works as a cabin boy on the passenger cruise ship Aurora. When pirates attack the ship, he sets off with Kate de Vries on an adventure that takes them to an uncharted island that was once explored by Kate's grandfather. Liam has been Nominated for a Critics Choice Award as Best Young Actor for his role in Lemony Snicket's.
