Mark Isham has always had a talent for finding the compelling melody and rhythmic pulse of a song. He is one of the premier film composers of our time. This personal passion for music has garnered Isham many awards including a Grammy, an Emmy, and a Clio, in addition to multiple Grammy, Academy Award and Golden Globe nominations for his material both as a composer and a recording artist. His latest score for Crash is no exception. With reviews of “here’s a direct order, go see Crash!” and “two thumbs way up!” Mark once again provides his brilliant sense of musical poetry to a triumphant and emotionally challenging film.

Isham’s memorable and evocative scores in such award-winning films as The Cooler, A River Runs Through It, Blade, Nell, Men of Honor, and Miracle have demonstrated this artistry. With his insistence on innovation, his distinctive and quirky sense of mood, and his unforgettable melodies, Mark has composed over 65 film scores.

As an accomplished trumpet player, Mark has added his unique sound – melodic, moody, sexy and cool – to a wide variety of genres. His solo recordings span from electric jazz and classic acoustic jazz to New Age and ethnic world music. He has collaborated with some of the top artists in the music business. His classic trumpet voice has graced the albums of such diverse artists as Bruce Springsteen, Willie Nelson, Lyle Lovett, Ziggy Marley, Joni Mitchell, The Rolling Stones, Chris Isaak, and Van Morrison.
